Service Overview
The 9-valent HPV vaccine, known as Gardasil 9, protects against nine types of human papillomavirus (HPV) that can cause various cancers and genital warts. Prevention of cervical, vulvar, vaginal and anal cancer caused by HPV types 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52 and 58. Prevention of dysplastic, premalignant cervical, vulvar, vaginal and anal lesions caused by types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52 and 58. Prevention of genital warts caused by types 6 and 11.

Recommended For:

  • It's recommended for both males and females, typically starting at age 9.

Dosage Information:

  • This vaccination booking is for 1 dose.
  • Females and males aged 9 to 14 - Two doses, between 5 to 13 months apart
  • Females and males aged 15 to 45 - Three doses, second dose to be taken 2 months after the first dose. Third doses to be taken 4 months after the second dose

Not Recommended For:

Person experiencing fever symptoms 3 days prior to appointment.
