Directions For Use/Usage Recommendation:
For adults and children older than 12 years (>40kg):
20ml initially, 10 -20ml may be taken every 4 hours when needed. Do not take more than 60ml (1200mg) in 24 hours.

For children 20-30mg/kg of bodyweight in divided doses:
6-12 months (7-10kg) - 2.5ml; 3 times a day
1-2 years (10 - 14.5kg) -2.5ml; 3 to 4 times a day
3-7 years (14.5-25kg) - 5ml; 3 to 4 times a day
8-12 years (25-40kg) -10ml; 3 to 4 times a day

Care when taking Brufen:
Ibuprofen may be associated with a small increased risk of heart attack or stroke. Any risk is more likely with high doses (2400mg daily) or prolonged treatment. Do not exceed the recommended dose and duration.

The patient should talk to the doctor/pharmacist before starting Brufen if he/she has/is:
Fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, sucrose-isomaltose insufficiency. Brufen contains sucrose, which should be taken into consideration in patients with diabetes.
History of gastrointestinal bleeding and perforation.
Asthma, chronic rhinitis, heart, liver or kidney diseases, heart failure, uncontrolled high blood pressure, dehydration.
Taking medications for high blood pressure, heart diseases and blood thinners.

Do not take Brufen if you are:
Allergic to aspirin, ibuprofen, other NSAIDS, had worsening of asthma, allergic rash after taking ibuprofen, aspirin or other NSAIDs, severe heart, liver or kidney failure, stomach bleeding, perforation or ulcer, increased risk of bleeding, pregnant.

Use in Pregnancy: Taking NSAIDs at about 20 weeks of pregnancy or later may harm the unborn baby.
