Directions For Use/Usage Recommendation:
Adults: 1 tablet every 8 to 12 hours while symptoms persist. For the first dose, 2 tablets may be taken together in the first hour if required.
Elderly (65 years old and over): Maximum of 2 tablets per day, unless directed to do so by a doctor.
Do not exceed 3 tablets in 24 hours unless directed to do so by a doctor.
Each dose should be taken orally with a glass of water, with or without meals. Consider taking each dose with meals if you have a sensitive stomach. If taken with food, the product may take longer to work.
Key Ingredients:
One film-coated tablet contains 220mg naproxen sodium, equivalent to 200mg of naproxen as active ingredient and 20mg of sodium (low content).
It also contains povidone, microcrystalline cellulose, talc, magnesium stearate, purified water and Opadry (blue) as excipients.
Aleve is lactose and gluten free.
Safety Information/Warnings:
Aleve is for the relief of minor and temporary ailments and should be used strictly as directed. Prolonged use without medical supervision could be harmful.
Do not take Aleve for more than 10 days.
A doctor should be consulted if the pain or fever persists or gets worse or if any unusual symptoms arise.
Do not take Aleve if you are taking anticoagulant therapy or anti-inflammatory medication.
Do not use if you have stomach ulcer, impaired kidney function or heart failure.
Asthmatics and people allergic to aspirin should consult their doctor before taking Aleve.
Aleve should not be taken during pregnancy except under medical supervision. Do not use during the last 3 months of pregnancy.
The medication should be avoided in patients who are breast-feeding.
Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool dry place.
